Poppy Life Care Brings Additional FREE Yoga Programs To Special Needs Community

by Martin Villa

Newport Beach, CA, December 20, 2019Poppy Life Care, a new, non-profit organization empowering Orange County families with children impacted by spectrum and developmental disorders, recently debuted a free yoga program at the Melinda Hoag Smith Center for Healthy Living. The initial response to the yoga classes, which are customized by the yoga instructors according to the needs and abilities of the attendees, has been so positive that Poppy Life Care expanded the schedule and now offers three types of classes – for Parents, Young Adults and the Whole Family.

With stress often being the trigger of anxiety, depression and behaviors common in people with autism, yoga offers the opportunity for families to learn ways to be more in tune with their bodies and give them the tools to better cope with life challenges,” said Erica Solis, Poppy Life Care Founder and CEO. “This partnership with Hoag gives us the opportunity to serve our community better and offers a peaceful and healing environment for our customers.

In the three months since Poppy Life Care’s free yoga program debut, the collaborative effort with Hoag has spurred additional program development areas, including chiropractic care, nutritional programs and life coaching workshops for special needs families. Poppy Life Care is also a referral resource for Help Me Grow – Orange County, an agency that connects families to developmental services.
