At 57, Christopher Simmons was living with his father after experiencing homelessness. Managing ulcerative colitis, schizophrenia, ADHD, and anxiety made daily decision-making and nutrition overwhelming. With a history of substance use in remission, Christopher wanted to improve his health but felt unsure where to start.

Over a year, Christopher worked with an interdisciplinary care team that provided functional nutrition coaching, long-term wellness planning, and trauma-sensitive wellness support. Through education on balanced meals and structured accountability, he learned to make healthier food choices and gained confidence in managing his own wellness.
Today, Christopher consistently applies what he’s learned, making better long-term decisions about his health. Grateful for the support, he credits Poppy Life Care with improving his health literacy and giving him tools for personal growth.
